Her love for music has always been there, but the love for jazz came from her father, a well-known jazz trumpeter and the director of the Banjaluka orchestra. In school she played accordion but continued to learn piano and ukulele on her own. It was war that brought Azra from Bosnia to London and later to Berlin, where she visited vocal classes at the Jazz Schule Berlin and met some of the most renowned jazz musicians, with whom she still performs.
